Thanks everyone!  I work evenings and get home around 2200 so relaxing with my scotch and reading this thread has been really entertaining.

P.S.  I voted for #5, thought it was great the first time I saw it.

I vote for #5, cause I personally met that fish and the artist and they are both my friends.  That may not be fair in the real world, but this is NCKA cyberspace and anything goes if you represent.

Voted for #3 (awesome work, Z), but #5 is sick too.  I'd rock either one.

If you wish to remove something from the forum PM Bill or the moderator to remove it or start a new post that people can choose to read or not. When we are voting on something either no comment or something very short is appropriate. I want to see how people are voting not hear an argument. Bill is a smart guy and I wouldn't worry about him unless he was upside down in the surf . If you have a problem with somebody shoot'em a PM we can all be misunderstood.

One thing that I love about this site is I haven't met anybody that I didn't enjoy paddling with and so many differant types of people get along so well.  I am looking forward to paddling with all of you.

Rockfish: thats a tarpon160, it was loaded down with about 40 or 50 lbs of rockfish. i havn't done a comparison with the 160i yet. 

anyhoo, i'm hijackin here... #3 and #5 logo's are both great.

As an obsessive lurker on this board and all too infrequent poster, I can't be more pumped to be part of this community...

I voted for #5.  I see no better logo that captures what I appreciate out of NCKA.  The 'hood, be it brother-, sister-, or neighbor-, is well captured and represented by the ling, rod, and paddle.

I voted for #5 too because it's obviously about fishing and kayaking without looking in too close of detail.  However, as I'm sure Atani will also point out, the reel is on the wrong side on that rod!

Winter is usually a frustrating time on this forum because there's not much going on, and even though rockfish and abalone are open the ocean's been mostly FUBAR on the weekends - folks are dying out there!  To some extent SkyGreen may be getting clubbed because lingcod and salmon haven't been.  The first big trip to big sur, maybe the 'final voyage', will be like prozac for everyone and we'll all be calm and mild mannered until we start going stir crazy again in december.   

However, as I'm sure Atani will also point out, the reel is on the wrong side on that rod!
