Fished Lower Sardine Lake with a friend Sat. morning.  We caught two skinny Brook Trout 11" and 12.5" on Rapala Fire Tiger F5.  Water temp. rising 51-52 by noon. Air clear and a warm 68.  Fish were down on the bottom.  Anyone (but us) were getting them on worm and Powerbait on the bottom.
In my opinion this is one of the most beautiful lakes you can drive to in California.  It is one of many lakes in the Lakes Basin of Tahoe National Forest about 10 miles above Sierra City in Sierra Co. n. of Truckee.
Here is a photo of my friend Steve.

Very nice pic. Makes me wish I was there.  Good going on the trout too.

Brings back memories. Used to go there every summer with my dad. Great fishing in Upper Sardine and Packer Lakes too.

Thanks for the report and pics,
PK
