Non yak nada at Soquel hole report, sat and sun

My buddy Steve and I were supposed to go for a quickie to Soquel hole on Sat.  We got out early and hooked one one on but lost it!  Ouch! It was around a 12lber and shook off the cripple anchovy near the boat.  Not sure why we are loosing fish this year...I rarely loose fish on the troll!!  I heard a lot of other boaters loosing fish too. That was the forth fish lost out of three trips. Dang...that was it.

It was slow and as usual, I took an nice nap.  We were supposed to quit before noon since I had to go to a dinner that eve.  I finally wake up and look around to some pretty big wind waves...it's 1:00!  Sheesh, my crazy buddy didn't want to quit!! 

The fishing club "Southside Anglers" had a trip on Sunday too.  I didn't go but Steve went out again.  They mooched on the Checkmate with 20 guys and got skunked!!
I hope it picks up!!!
