The water warmed back up to the low sixties, the bait was on the beach, the stripers were starting to bust, and I got a sunburn from just wearing SHORTS.  :wav:

Fished with Mahi for one decent striper each, we would have done better with shad, but we didn't bring our bait nets.

Was that you getting bait at Western Boat this morning around 7:30?  Cobra yak in the back of a pick up?  If so, I saw you on my way to work.  Where did you launch?

You can when the shad are running.  You need a dipnet thats pretty particular....either a cummings net or Erik said his green Promar worked too.  You also need a bait tank or they die QUICKLY.  Tubes and buckets just don't cut it.

Frank-come on up and we'll show you the ropes.  Minnows are great most of the year, but when they are on the shad, they want shad.

Nice job again, Sean!   :smt023 What day was it!?  The water was boiling!?
I heard Dave Manning was giving talk in Davis, but we missed it because of the water sampling...
