Awhile back the guys from NoobSpearo PodCast reached out to me and asked if I wanted to do an episode on NorCal spearfishing...

Despite my insistence that I knew nothing they convinced me to do it.  :smt005

The experience was actually really fun, and the two guys were a blast to talk to.

Was able to talk about some of my favorite aspects of NorCal spearfishing, NCKA, PIF, HOW, DOTY, fuzz, Amadeo, our fish species, some "tips", and some of the gear I use.

Anyway, if you want to hear me talk to two funny Australian guys about NorCal spearfishing you can check it out here:

I don't think my last post posted.  But thanks for posting that link.  I just finished the podcast and it was a good listen.  Hopefully one of these days we can link up for some butt spearing  :smt044. Have you ever went spearfishing in tomales for butts?

Just finished listening to the episode.  I really enjoyed it.  I have not done any spear fishing or free diving, but it is a discipline I aspire to and you fellas sure did a lot in the way of lighting a fire under my ass.  Now I have to start collecting gear.

On a slightly related note, has anyone thought of starting a NCKA podcast?  I can think of a really awesome community of anglers that would be avid listeners.  I don't have much in the way of equipment other than a macbook but I'd be willing to help get it off of the ground.  Just a thought...

I know he's speared Butts in Surf before but wasn't sure if the visibility was good enough for TB.

3 times.  I would have blocked you.  Seriously though Big Jim just makes it looks easy.

His videos and encouragement did help me move forward when I didn't feel like I was making progress.  Motivation is a good thing.
