Tomales halibut

Caught 2 keepers on my first halibut trip to tomales. Big on was 30 also got a 25 incher. What a fight tring to get them into the net. Tons of bait out there getting a bunch of undersized fish too.

Live anchovies, the bay is full of them. Get a sabiki rig size 6 hook. Drifing them just off the bottom

Yikes...those teeth are gnarly!  As is often true, ugly fish=tasty fish

Just 200yrds off shore in 12 feet of water got 3 in 2 hrs. They were under size.
