I caught a fatty the other day out front of the lighthouse in 40' with a herring hanging - lingcod basics.  I didn't want to net the purple-backed beauty, so I tried to leader it and it snapped me off.  So plump and nice like 15 to 20 pounds and perfect.  I don't want to post the video because it's too sad!
