So, my friend's two sons are really excited about wanting to catch some ocean fish. They are like 7 and 9 years old. Mom and Dad are super protective, and not fisherpeople, so I think the kayak is out for now. I was thinking a charter boat would be a good option. Dad could be there to help and we could get on some fish.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a kid friendly charter? They are in Marin, so any bay area outfit would be great. I'd really like to stay away from the New Sea Angler for my own reasons.
Maybe we could book a trip with some other NCKA'ers with kids?
Any help would be mucho appreciated.

Emeryville Sportfishing has some family-friendly trips.  I haven't been on one so I don't know what to expect, but it's nice that they offer it.

[below pasted from their FB post]

Announcing Family trips!!!
Unsure if your spouse or kids are ready for a full-day fishing trip? Try a Family trip - a half day San Francisco Bay trip geared to introduce a family member to saltwater fishing. A great way to get out of the heat, spend some quality time with the family, and explore the Bay! Discounted fares and discounted tackle, along with a later departure of 7 am.
The Sea Wolf will be running a Family trip on Tuesday July 18th, with the C-Gull II following on Tuesday July 25th and the New Salmon Queen on Tuesday August 1st. Give FishEmeryville a call at 510-652-3403 for additional information and trip reservations.

I took Bohdi my 7 year old grandson out on the Salty Lady for salmon two weeks ago. The deck hands loved him as did all the adults. He caught his limit. What an awesome day it was. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the quick replies fellas.
Dad is a sailboater, and I believe the kids have at least been out on the bay with him. That salmon trip looks sweet Craig!

Very cool Craig!!!

Chad, I know Dennis and Rog Shu (old#7 and rshu) take their kids out a bunch on their buddy Allen Chin's boat the Tigerfish...I'm sure you could PM them for more details about their experiences...

Any interest in putting together an NCKA father/son charter?  I'd be willing to put some legwork into it.
