I spoke to Vince at Aquan Sports regarding "pimp'n kayaks"

He agreed to set up a tent outside Aquan and provide electricity for the power tools. I'll bring a BBQ grill.

All you guys have to do is bring your kayaks, your ideas, some marine goop and some meat and drinks for the grill...

We will spend the day modifying your rigs to your own personal specs.....everyone is welcome to attend this shindig = there will be no cost for this event.

I'll post a couple of dates and put it on a poll to see what day would work for the majority. I'll also post what other things you need to bring....stay tuned :smt002

I will be working on a prowler 15 - non angler edition and will turn it into a "FKV"  (fish killing vessel)  :fishing2

NOTE: my primary objective to keep the rigging plain, cheap and simple - yet efficient  :smt045

John / jdyak (an electronics expert) will be there as well  :smt023

Great idea, Mooch! I participated in something similar with one of the kayak clubs last year, and the expertise and tools members shared were invaluable.

Tell me about it. Spent yesterday installing a FF  on my 130T and dealing with the small hatches and limit internal access was a pain.

When are the potential dates?  I've got a couple of things I'd like to rig up.

I'd be into that, I'm getting ready to drop some cash on a Garmin fishfinder for the BG and could really use some help. Sounds like a good time, also want to mount a couple of Ram mounts too. Mike/solsrf1

Any word on when this will happen (or did I already miss it)?  I just picked up a new Hobie Outback today and will be adding cam cleats for anchoring, Scotty rod holders for fly rods, and I'd love to see how to mount a normal fish finder inside the hull (I have a Fishin' Buddy FF waiting to dangle along side my Outback but some day I'd like to upgrade).

I also have an older Hobie Mirage Classic that I'd like to add some fish-ability to though it sits kind of high and isn't nearly as stable on the water as the Outback.

Thanks.
