Monterey Bay Kayak is hosting Paddlefest on Saturday May 12th from 10-2. Several manufacturers will be on hand with opportunities to test paddle many different kayaks. Check out the web site at www.montereybaykayaks.com.

I will be there for Ocean Kayaks with my boat set up, talking to people and enticing them to "The Madness!!"

It's a great demo day you can paddle anything they have everything is set out on the beach.

Probably get there super early and go out for flatties down by the hotel..  Last time I did that, Chef came with me.  I left at 9:30, and that's when he caught the 24 lb halibut.  Dang!!

Why does it normally cost $20 to demo their boats, but it's $40 for this paddlefest?

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

LOL

Yes, lunch is provided, plus they will have tons of boats there with Company Reps (OK, Wilderness, other kayak reps, thule, yakima, etc)  for discussion.  Big discounts on all goods for the day, if you buy a kayak you get a free class and tour.  Clinics and seminars all day....  the owner told me it's a 10% discount so if you buy racks or even a good paddle, you've pretty much made up the $40 fee.

Plus I will be there which I think is worth at least $40........only kidding
