I have the fever bad!

 :smt005 :smt044

Had a window after work and swell wasn't forecast to be THAT bad so headed to beach.

Swell was worse than I thought it would be and there was white water in areas that I usually hunt...

Decided to give it a try anyway...

Water was much clearer than last time, but the constant sets had the water so aerated that hunting was realllly hard.

Seemed like every time I found a spot of un-white water to work another set would come in and blow it up and pummel me.  :smt005 :smt044

I did see a few tails in the bubbles but looked like small schoolies...

Cen Coast came to say hi and took a cool pic and a little vid of me in the washing machine.

Cold beer back at the car was nice.

Next time!!

Sincerely,

Jim

ps...for anyone that might go out and try hunting the surf soon please be careful...the rip tides and longshore drift are pretty strong right now...be aware of where you are and save some energy to make sure you get back to the beach ok.  :smt008

The surf has been rough lately, I have been getting caught up in some pretty bad swells. Got taken under just last Sunday given my vertically challenged stature lol, gear and all. Luckily I pulled out of it. Had the GoPro on so it was pretty cool to see it on footage. Good luck out there.
I ain't as good as i once was, but I'm as good once as i ever was.

I was reading and hoping you pulled one out at the end.  But I read the title first and already knew it was a skunk.  Not for a lack of trying.  When it pays off it will be big.

If swell doesn't drop soon will expand my efforts to beaches that have less wave action, but where viz is usually worse and see if I can't find one...

I know hook and line guys in the area have been getting some pigs at night so I don't wanna let the damn weather get in the way of me getting one!
