Greetings NCKA  :smt006

Jacob here. Been freshwater fishing my whole life, but bay/ocean for last 7-8 years. No WSBs yet. Those ghosts are like, ghosts man!

Not new to being a skipper, but new to kayaks. Hope to get my safety gear lined up in the next week or two, head to Loch Lomond for a test/safety float, then start playing in the bay close to shore, eventually working up to beach launches up the coast.

Stoked this forum is here to guide the fleas up the food chain! I'm up for group floats for safety and fun. For the SC folks, let me know when you're launching outta the harbor. Weekends are best for this 9-5'r.

Loch Lomond won't allow visitor boats sadly.  Twin Lakes by the harbor would work.  you can fish for LMB in there while you're at it!

Welcome to the club!

Welcome sir.

I made the mistake of taking my wife and 2 kayaks to Loch Lomond only to find out that all vessels need to be quarantined there over winter.

Elkhorn slough is a great spot to test your yak and gear out. Calm and plenty of other kayakers around with very few motorized boats...just make sure to find a map of legal fishing areas if you take a pole.

Welcome J5. See you on the water.
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?
