Sorry to have caused you 2.5 hrs of mental anguish .  I think you should get an X-Factor or FND instead.  Last year at Moss you were inside of me.  I was behind you and DETERMINED to catch you.  You didn’t know it, but I paddled my heart out for 15 minutes as you got smaller and smaller.  Talk about being humbled.

We were about 3 miles due west of Point Joe.  From the boat looking at land, I wouldn’t have attempted it. 
IF it was a NICE day from Coral St, I’d think a strong paddler could fish about 1-2, miles off the red can and be in some fishy waters.  I hope the salmon round the corner and come inside the bay to more protected waters.

Looking at the numbers from coastside it looks doable even if the weather sucks Like 3 miles off the point?

I think the Monterey forecast was 5-15 in the AM, and 15-25 in the afternoon.  The AM was decent.  Not sure if it blew in the afternoon.
3 miles off the point would have been fishy and on the north end of the fleet.  But to me, thats a long paddle in the open ocean.

We used to launch the outside down there all the time, seems like there were a few good spots, I just can't remember where exactly

I launched out there a couple of years ago and it wasnt fun coming in through the rocks in a bigger break   I was wishing I had a helmet    It was pure luck I didn't get splatted


It'd be nice to launch aroung the corner someplace go out and south down to Carmel and have somebody do the pick up Or maybe take a cab back to Monterey and pick up the car

Great to see pics of such nice fish, looks like it could be a decent season     I may be able to give it a shot this week

Yeah... Stuie and Fuzz nailed them and I arrived just in time to see them get cut up for the grill... Damn, that was some good tasting fish we had last night... and tonight... and tomorrow night... and...

WOW.....Huge fish!   I am jonesing bad, cant wait to get one  (or two) myself.  I had all last week as an opportunity for salmon fishing, but no-one was going out due to weather and swell. ah well.

WTG Stuart. 

Lots of big fish this year, unusual for this part of the season.  Word is, with the low # of 3 yr old fish in the Sac last year, they are returning as 4 yr olds, and have had an additional year to feed.  Those 4 yr olds might go 50 at the end of the season.  We could see some biiiiiig duxbury fish this year!
