Hi everyone,

I am new to the board and new to kayak fishing. I took out my kayak and got my first halibut of the season. It turned out to be a nice 18 pounder! I made a video from the trip, check it out on my channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMFceCKfi45GRJFNXBTZOIw/videos?sort=dd&shelf_id=2&view=0

Subscribe to my channel if you like the video! Thanks for watching and hopefully more fish to come!

That is a very nice halibut, I don't know about the fishing with two poles simultaneously.

Thanks for the nice video, Adam.

Fisherman X: if you're asking about the legality of it, you can fish as many rods and hooks as you want for halibut in the ocean (sec. 28.65), but not if you have rockfish/lings/salmon on board. You could even set a 3-mile longline with 1000 hooks for halibut, and as long as you kept it attached to your boat you would be legal.
