I'm getting my new Kraken in the mail (thanks for the support with the upcoming trip Jackson!) with only a day or two before departure to get it all rigged up. Is there a simple plug and play attachment to get my Hook 5 in it quick and easy? I think I saw a lot of them mounted on an attachment in the center.

Links to what I need would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yakattack JK accessory plate. Drill holes based off your fish finder mount. Check out some of my threads for pics if needed

I have an extra one that you're welcome to barrow in case you don't get your order in time.

That would save my butt. I just called yakattack and they says it wouldn't even shop until Tuesday. That's when I need it by to give me a day to get it installed. 530 217 nine843 if you get this in time I'm passing through now.

Now I'm worried. Do I need anything else to mount this Hook 5? Someones saying scupper kit and extra parts. I have no time to order anything. Is the accessory plate the only thing?

I'll take some pics of how I did mine and post them. Basically I just use the plate, a small foam piece, and hot glue for my set up

Much appreciated. Stressing out about rigging this up with only a day or two at most before leaving with it for 4 months. If I find out I need extra parts I will be totally SOL :smt013 Talk about cutting it close... The cooler isn't scheduled to arrive until 12 hours before we leave. I sure hope the kayak gets here in time, I may not even have a day to rig it! :BangHead: LOL

1. Drill hole pattern on plate for fish finder
2. Piece of foam used as a spacer and to keep tension on the transducer wire
3. Hot glue to hold transducer in place. I did a minimal amount but it's held fine for 6+ months (I do plan to add more)

Lowrance makes a kit that holds the transducer in place and you wouldn't need the foam or glue. Might. E able to find it at one of the local shops

Thanks, that helps a ton. I can do that even if I have to late at night before we leave.

As long as. you don't get glue on the bottom of the transducer it won't effect it right?

As far as the battery cable. How do you run it into your hatch, cut a small hole? Do you know if the new Krakens come with a battery housing box built in still?

I did hot glue gun on my Kraken transducer but have had it bust loose 3 times now.  I finally went to duct seal inside/through hull but haven't had it in the water under that configuration yet with a charged battery  (face palm).

I used one of the west marine 2 hole wire caps to get the wires through through the hull.

I run a nocqua battery and just leave it in the center hatch tray. For the wires I just close the hatch on them and never had an issue. And yea I didn't get any glue on the bottom of the transducer
