I am  definite "Newbie."  An old one at that.  I was wondering if there are any resources for getting my kayak "geared up."  I tried getting a fish finder installed a couple years ago but my home made mounting system was not successful.  Fast forward a few years and I see all kinds of what looks like commercially available equipment.  I have retired and moved to Valley Springs, dead center between five lakes and would like to try starting up again.  I have an older Hobie Outback which is in pretty good condition and eager to fish.  Any members in this area that have the time and inclination to help get someone started in this sport would be greatly appreciated.

Jim

Welcome. There's tons of good info on this site that can be accessed via the search button. And lots of Hobie users here too (including me), so there will be plenty of Hobie-specific info.
