My Yeti cooler smells like butthole...  My niece didn't wash it out like she promised and when I opened it the other day I almost puked.  Rancid beef and fish in putrid water.  Anyways, I tried my best to clean it out with soap and warm water.  I really fucking scrubbed it with a dish scrubber.  It still smells like ass though.  Any ideas on how to get this funk out?  I spent too much money on it to trash it.

Use some bleach or something with bleach in it.

Open it up and leave it out in the sun for awhile.

Fill with cold water. Dump half a bottle of Clorox. Don't ask me how I know this. :smt044

And when it's all fresh and clean again, store it with the latches tucked inside to prop the lid open.

I cleaned out a refrigerator full of meat and nasty stuff in a trailer with no electricity for months in the desert out by Ridgecrest.  I sprayed massive amounts of Lysol into the fridge during the fridge-douche and after.  It worked.

I do both actually... the clorox treatment and sun shine.

Baking Soda and Vinegar! DONT MIX it, Just toss a Baking soda spread on the bottom. Then, put a vinegar in cup. put it inside then Close the lid leave it for 24hrs. Use bleach as the last resort.

Fill with a gallon of water and a cup of bleach. Close the lid and slosh the solution around so all the inside surfaces are coated, including the lid. Wait for an hour and rinse it out. Air dry in the sun.
