I found a functioning SPOT locator beacon on HWY 1 Bodega Bay Saturday April  22nd.

You can take the battery out and write down the serial number and then call them so the company can contact the owner and make sure they are ok.

Is the old style spot? You could send one of the non emergency messages and the owner should be able to see its gps location. If it's the new inreach you can type in a message.
