Was going to hit Sherman Is. for some stripers, but the white caps convinced me to change my plan.  Decided to go for some large mouths instead.  Caught four, one jumped ship before the photo op.  Here is a 3.5#er and a little fiesty one.  Another biggun' spit the hook after breaking the surface 4 times with some serious head shakes.   :smt013  finally found some good structure in the big break area.....

Nice job. I have never fished Big Break but I hear it can be red hot.

I have wasted alot if fishing time paddling around in 2.5 feet of water choked with hydrilla in Big Break.  It took a couple of trips, but there are definately some bassy areas around.  But then again, when the spawn is over these productive areas will likely be vacant.

XSquid don't count on that. Those shallow areas will hold bass all year long. I the summer throw frogs on the edges of the hydrilla and when its starts to die in the fall throw plastics in the holes. They will be in there.

Nice work and SWEET HOOK on the 3.5er!  I've tube'd it,but never yak'd it. What were you offering? It was a LOW tide when I went and the weeds were on top and heavy.

Keep up the hunt and post them pics!

There are alot of areas in there where the weeds are heavy.  Sometimes a good thing as reel was saying, but sometimes bad with the spots all choked out.  I was throwing smoke w/ black flake senkos and roboworms.
