Hi Al,
Just received a new 2017 Ocean Kayak Trident 13 and have looked all over for information on installing my Lowrance fishfinder with no luck. Anybody have any idea where to look, I am thinking on using a through hull system and mounting it to the tracks. Not sure what to buy, where to buy it and how to install everything. I will figure it out but thought I would start by asking for help here first to save me some frustration.
Thanks
Steve

Congrats on the new ride bro.  :smt007

Don't know anything about the tracks but can help you out with the through hull portion.

Let me know.

For the tracks you can get the RAM attachment that fits into the back of the FF and then the doodad that mounts it on the tracks...

Like this...

Hope that helps?

I'm in the process of installing. Lowrance ff on my prowler 13. I bought the hook 4 and the transducer scupper adaptor but it didn't work for the large blue transducer. I've put together a home built mount for the scupper hole since I don't want a mount inside because you lose much of your signal by shooting through the hull. Still working on it and can share pics as I get closer.

Its not a Lowrance but here is what I did with my Helix 7 on the new Trident. This might give you some ideas.

I found a video from "Spearonation TV". It's part of a spearfishing form, and has a professional install a Lowrance in a Kraken kayak. It's host is Roman Castro who gives a lot of good information for spearfishing related info.  I would be curious as to your experience with the Lowrance system in use and installation.  Good Luck

I'm a big fan of Yakattack GT90 metal tracks and Ram Mount with mighty bolt to the tracks. If you use the one piece backing plate for the tracks it is very strong. The Ram Mount for Lowarance FF is easy to hook up and very easy to adjust while on the water.

I wouldn't advice putting tracks and equipment right next where you're seated. You want that area as clear as possible when you climb back on after you fall overboard. I put my rod/downrigher holders in front of me past those cup holders

You lose almost none of your signal shooting through the hull.  You do lose accuracy on water temps.  Setting my Revo (Lowrance scupper-mount) and my Trident (through hull) side by side, you can't see any difference in the detail on the displays.
