Im going to hit the napa river for stripers tomorrow morning if anyone wants to join. Im launching from the riverside launch around 6:30. This part of the river is clear right now so I will start with throwing topwater and then move to trolling and swimbait fishing. Low wind forecast and high tide at 9

My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Damn, just saw this at 7am on the 5th. Good luck and I look forward to the report, haven't been on the river since the rains. Caught one shaker bank fishing with anchovies on Taylor St at the oxbow last week but that's it. Couldn't even catch bait.

I started at about 6:40am from riverside with no wind and about 3 feet of water visibility. I threw top water and swimbaits down by the marinas for about an hour with no luck, so I decided to start heading back up river to troll when the sun started to show. I paddled up closer to town and about 45 minutes later, I hooked up with a pretty nice striper. It hit harder than any other striper ive caught trolling and took about 15-20 yards on the first run. After that it took a few more short runs but it ended up swimming right at me and I netted it pretty quick. I wanted to keep it but it looked like an older fish so I decided to try for a smaller keeper but to no avail. I trolled for about another hour and was off the water by 9. I caught the striper on a shallow diving pline predator angry eye with a red head and white body, pink trailer worm, and red hoochie. Going about 3 or 4 mph

Is that from the rack of pre-rigged ones down at Sweeney's?
