What do you think about the e-chip?  Is it just a gimick or does it really work?

I don't know about ocean salmon but it helps with Kokes. About .5 more fish per rod.

I've never had one hold together long enough to find out. Years ago, I tried to use them on a trip, but the fin that had to be inserted to give the lure the erratic movement in the water and pulse the desired signal kept breaking off. I gave up after four of them fell apart.

The commercial guys leading the West seminar the other evening in S.C. didn't sound impressed.

I just think it's another gimmick to lure fishermen more than fish.

If I need to catch 0.5 fish, I'll just hook a Rockfish or Lingcod and play it around until a Sea Lion spots it. Problem solved although it maybe 0.25 fish in the end or even less  :smt012
