OK, so heres the deal... sorry if this is quasi-classified

my wife, myself, one dog, and one cat are moving up to Sac from Fresno.  we have an appt 1/4 mile for the Howe access on teh A, (which is awesome!)  we cant wait to be up there and fish more with the NCKA crew and are already planning some long floats down to the appt...

We are doing this slowly and plan to be out of fres-hell within about 7 or 8 weeks (just in time for the HMB tourney) but need some help.  knowing that this group is full of slightly off-beat ppl like Chryss and I I am now offering free for nearly any purpose female mallards (in a laying state at the moment) and fresh duck eggs (about 2 doz per week).  you could use a hen as a yak-mascot, layer (they make about 8 doz eggs per yr), dinner, pet, gift, or hand warmer (they are wiggly tho).  you might even be able to train one to be a bowrider on fishing trips (they are relatively smart).  We are moving to an appt for a while and simply can't keep them, and they have been wing-clipped (NOT pinioned) and I don't want them being eaten by cats at the park...We have grown to really like the little quackers...

so if you're interested, drop me a line at jmeier at wrime dot com.
I can butcher if you please, but I don't want them being used for dog training or wierd things....

BTW--the other 4 we had were yummy

There are 5 hens.  If you want them for raising and watching, there is a very healthy drake that could go with, if its for eatin', the drake is spoken for...
there are several cats in our neighborhood that watch the ducks, but for the most part leave them alone...  I think the 'coons would leave adults alone, but would defiantly munch on chicks and eggs...
we have NO snails and our soil is loose and well fertilized with nitrogen  ;)  we also have no garden grubs or caterpillars below 20 inches or so.  they do however really like my dianthus, but this is the only plant they nibble...

when we get a new house in Sac, we will be getting ducks again, they really do rock.

We will take them. If we could meet in Sac some time. I will be raising them for eggs, producing chicks and taking care of the garden.

I have hunted but never fished Clementine. Very nice. Pm me and If we can hook up in Sac when it's convienent for you that will be great. I have over 5 acres and all the material to build them a great little coop. If it's too much trouble to get them to Sac I understand. go ahead and find them a home closer to you. If you can get them to Sac on a Fri or Sun. That is when i do the Kid swap thing with the X.
