I just pulled one of the side grab handles off of my Prowler 16. Is there a hardware re-placement that isn't just fiber strapping and rubber?

TIA

Go to a junkyard and grab a couple oh shit handles, use a backing plate when you fasten them to your kayak?

a lot of manufacturers have recessed solid handles on some models but they are molded for that purpose.  I've never seen an aftermarket handle like this but maybe someone has a better idea.  I've ripped a couple of these out before and always ended up replacing them with the rubber and nylon straps and a backing plate made of a cut up cheapo plastic cutting board.

Were they attached using inserts and screws?   or rivets?

Inserts and screws, but it was the strap that broke.

Thanks for responding.

You'll have a tough time finding a hard handle that will have the same spacing ...  just grab a new web handle and replace it.   They don't cost much.
