Hi, I'm Bad Dog

Newb.  Just registered.  Real name is Jeff.  San Jose.  I have a dog.  He's bad.  Was my hunting buddy.  Now he's old and merely takes up space on my bed.

Been lurking as a guest.

Ready to see if I can avoid feeding the little fish from Sea sickness and the big fish (I.E. Great Whites) with my person.

Also hoping that I'll spend more time on top of, as opposed to under, a Viking Profish Reload.

Welcome Jeff. I am also in San Jose, hit me up if you want to go fishing in the ocean (not a big fan of fresh water😀)

Thank you all for the kind responses and fixing my pics.

I'll be making my first ocean venture in a couple of weeks with my neighbor who also has a Viking and is a member of this forum.

I read the forum for essential safety gear and I've purchased nearly everything, so I feel pretty ready equipment wise for a newb.

My primary fear at this point is transportation. What drew me towards the Vikings initially was the low weight.  After practicing loading and unloading the kayak by myself on the F150, it still isn't what I would call "light".  And the trailer hitch/temporary cab roof rack combo I have doesn't feel as solid as I would like.

I'll search around here for ideas but I'm pretty sure if someone films me unloading the kayak and then matches it to the Benny Hill theme song, I'll be a YouTube sensation.

Ya, I'm the neighbor. Jealous of your fancy new rig but can't wait to see you load it the first time. [emoji41]
