Zilla and Mike....you guys better stop smokin da bad stuff  :smoke

FYI: If any of you want to hire THE true sherpas.....I'd call on Joe / Skyboy (unfortunately he cannot make it to Elk this year) or Brad "Zilla"  :smt045

Last year, I saw Zilla "jogging" up the hill while hauling an X-Factor LIKE IT WAS A SUNDAY STROLL IN THE PARK  :smt118

Wow! 5 pages of "Smack Talk" that's mostly about not being able to get up some hill.... maybe the thread should be renamed "boo hoo hoo, I got sand in my !@&&*!".   :smt003

Don't worry, before coming up the hill I'll put you all in formation, Marine Corps style, and teach you all how to reach down and grab ahold.   :smt044

Of course now that I've said this I'll probably be the first one that needs CPR but it's all good.

Here's my new weapon in the war against lings. I felt I needed something heavier to haul up the hill. Bring it on.......

So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........

Hey Mooch,

I learned my lesson last year. I'm going to order a Rooleze cart from Sean if that is still an option.  My crappy cart last year ended up plowing enough sand to grow crops.

I have a Roleze without the sand tires.  Can I just buy the new wheels?  Sean?

Kevin,

I'm not Sean, but yes, you can change out the old wheels for the new, wide, soft ones. You'll also need to change the kick stand.  Here's the link:

http://www.wheeleez.com/  Look under "canoe/kayak tote."

I converted two carts over the winter, and it was no big deal.  Brian G. had posted about "blemished" 30cm wheels, and that's what I bought.  If they still offer them, go that way - they're a lot cheaper.  If they don't, you're probably better off selling your old cart and buying a new one from Sean.

Thanks Randy.  Where did you find the info on the kickstand?

I'm wondering if I can get away with using the mini sand tires (like the ones that come with the new hobies)???  Probably no kickstand change required...

Kevin,

You can call the number listed on the web site.  They're in Benicia.  Come to think of it, you'll need to change out the axle as well.  The kickstands and axles are only about $10 each.  The money is in the tires. As I recall, it cost about $120  to convert two carts.

What is the earliest we can show up at the community center at Elk? I am trying to book reservations at a State park prior to the tourny. Thanks
