Noob here. What is the best place for the biggest fish?

One of the best places I know is to launch out of Monterey. Put yourself on a heading of about 50 degrees , paddle about one mile and look for the BIG RED X in the water. Fish right there, that's the best place.

I've fished there. Its kinda dried up lately.

And what are you using to catch them? 



 

The Delta, San Pablo and San Francisco Bay. Eel, Night Crawlers, Ghost and Grass Shrimp and Salmon Roe. 

You can get a whale at a local dive... just gotta play your lucky chances.

The glory hole is found by rolling it in flour and putting your rod in the wet spot.

Or......

Just wheel your kayak to the curb and kelp clip onto a large clump of weeds. Make sure you do this so that you don't float off in case your neighbor is washing his car.
