Seen that a while back on TLW's FB page, pending where they were isn't it illegal to harass marine mammals? That was intentional the dude in the back was still paddling towards it. Was a big uproar from PeopleEatingTastyAnimals (PETA) probably GreenPiece (ofshiza) as well.

We were fishing out of Moss Landing some years back when a whale breached the surface and lifted Krusty's (Tim) kayak up in the air. It landed him back down without any yard sale. That was when the bait was so thick and whales were everywhere.

Wow! 

A couple years ago I was at Moss Landing with downrigger deployed when a humpback rose to within about 4' directly below my kayak. As it rolled off to the side, it hit the downrigger line, which I immediately cut. Lucky the line was braid, or that whale would probably still be towing my kayak around...
