Is there going to be an event at Lake Berryessa this year.  I didn't get to attend last year because of work.  I enjoy fishing that lake.

There were a few trips posted last year.  The lake bass bite is right around the corner.  Typically by Easter weekend it is right in the middle of the spring bite but the fish start staging off of the points long before then.

I'll probably head up the the North side of the lake by the 2nd or 3rd weekend of March.  There is a small cove I launch from that is just past the second bridge.  It is steep with a narrow trail but doable with wheels and saves launch fees and paddle time.

I'll post something in hookups closer to a set date.

Fish are starting to stage now! I marked a ton of fish in 20-30 feet off of points near shallow bays last weekend. Shouldn't be too much longer and the bite will be on.

How was the water clarity?  The weather looks good all through next week with temps finally reaching the 70's by the end of next weekend.

Yeah, the spot I launch from is about 200 yards of so past the Putah creek bridge.

The vis is still pretty bad right now. I launched at capelle and sailed up to oak shores and back. It will be a little bit before it clears up.

I also sailed into Spanish flat for a minute, lots of tournament guys fishing near the shore, but since the flat is flooded I marked a whole bunch of fish on that drop off straight out from the park. You could probably get them from shore!
