I am looking for some options for rod storage on the wall. I don't want to build anything because I don't have the time. Can someone recommend some options?

Hey Victor,  I have two, two piece rod holders that I bought at Walmart.  Each one holds 6 rods and the holders just screw into the wall with a couple of screws.  I managed to hit studs in my garage but hollow wall fasteners would probably work OK since there's not a lot of weight.  I have them set up vertically but they could be used horizontally.  I'm not sure what brand they are but they're black plastic.

I was just gonna ask which orientation do you prefer - vertical or horizontal?

I guess either would work, I could have them on the ceiling or vertical on the wall.

Use a pegboard and its accessory if you have the room.  You can store your rods and others.

Not my pic, but similar to mine.  You can store two rods per mount, with one reel on each mount end.

Victor I use these clips you can get in different sizes just nail to the wall. The Berkeley ones work ok but tight if you keep the reels on.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

If you like your rods, I strongly recommend storing them vertically.

30 years in the tackle buisness and a life long angler, I learned the hard way. When fishing rods are left for a long time in a horizontal position, they will acquire a "SET" (bend in the rod).
Depending on the temp and time left in this position, the set could be severe and permanent.

I use these as well tighten them down to just snug. Then twist them a little after putting the rod in and they tighten up on the rod. I mounted mine to a board but you could just put them on the wall.
The little okuma one next to it works ok and you can split it in half and mount it to a wall.

what if they are in the rack reel-less, and the second rack is mid rod to less than half way, will they still get a "set" over time, didn't have much room for the rod storage in the new houses garage, so had to go with a ceiling rack, but was thinking that if i at least i took the reels off it would be better, cameron

The only way to avoid a set, is total support like on a shelf. Any over hang (Bend in rod) is susceptible to a set.
