Ok well here is the start of my fish sprayer it is only part done
The hard parts are done but still have a lot to do.

This will be for salmon fishing the frame will be covered in some kind net, And there will be a door in the front so when you catch a salmon you just Throw it in the cage and lock the door and turn on the pump to keep your fish cool. The frame it self is the sprayer I think you will get the picture if you look at the
Pics will post more when it is done. :smt006

Duane... great job on bending pvc.   Now, you've got my wheels spinning for other applications.

Let us know how the sprayer works.

OK... time for another newbie question, and I hope I'm not straying too far from the original thread:  Exactly what do you do with the fish, when the fish God's bless you with a catch?  I've noticed a stringer in some photos, but also people wacking their fish in videos.  So you drag the dead carcass in the water?  You just stun them a little, and let them keep breathing in the water?  You kill them and strap them to the yak?  You throw them in a fish bag?  I don't think my kayak is big enough for a live fish well!  Back in Tx in my Hobie Sport, the fish were much smaller, and I just left them alive on the stringer.  I assume Insane's sprayer is to keep a fish wet and cool in the sun, but is the fish stunned or dead, and will it be kept cool enough to keep from spoiling?

Alright, I can't resist a 2nd related question:  Exactly what do you do with those beautiful gaffs everyone is buying?  Do you lift the fish with the hook through its gills to the mouth, or do you hook the lip and pierce it through, or do you poke it through the brain and nervous system to both kill and lift it simultaneously?  I noticed large snares being used for the Dinos.  I assume this is because of the slot limit, so that the fish is uninjured until the size is measured?

Thanks for the tutoring!

I will use the fish sprayer for salmon mostly because you don't
Want to hang your catch over the side do to sea Lion's this
could be real bad if your fish is tied to your yak
.

With my fish sprayer you don't need a stringer because
The sprayer will be a cage to contain your catch I am
Waiting for the net that will go over it to be delivered.

as for gaffes I get them anywhere I can side of the body works best
DO NOT USED A GAFFE ON A DINOS IT IS  against regs

Will post more pics when it is done

That is a really interesting idea. Will you also combine it with burlap or another fabric to increase the evaporative cooling?  What kind of draw are you getting from the bilge pump? Power source?

I'd really like to see it in action when it is completed.
