After a long drive we made it to Todos Santos

Did some surfing in Cerritos then headed to La ventana. Found Chay and Linda on the beach and got a fish report. Headed to Los Barriles to do a couple days of beach camping and diving. Within 5 minutes of being in the water I surface popped a small yellowtail.

Made tacos on the beach and went to bed.

Woke up for a day of diving. Nothing great except amazing conditions and tons of reef fish.

Spent a few days in la Paz and Cabo enjoying the night life and pretty senoritas. Hard to keep up with the 5 am minimum partying here haha.

Found a new spot to dive. Did a drop in a big bait ball and suddenly a large shadow came in. Moved slowly to turn on my GoPro and get my big 150 sea sniper up and popped a good 60+ pound rooster. Hung on for a wild ride until he was plum tuckered out ;D

As soon as I hit the beach a guy came over that just shot a marlin... in 2 ****in feet of water with an 80cm gun. Thinking I had a shot I ditched the rooster and ran back out. No luck for me.

Ended up camping out with them where they made marlin ceviche and cooked some rooster over the fire.

Slept in an old boat on the beach for the next days dive

The next morning we found a new spot and scored some nice lobster.

Took it to a restaurant and for 9 bucks had the meal of a lifetime. Outstanding massive lobster tails, a huge slab of marlin the other dive gave us, made into ceviche. Along with that and the rooster Cooke several different ways. Gave the ray of all the fish to locals.

Some hero shots

And riding a whale shark

Two weeks left of adventure then hitting the sand dollar for the Channel Islands on the way back home.

FYI the rooster was tasty dude! I know a lot of people don't like them but we did. The girl we were with even preferred it over the marlin!

I got my ass handed to me haha! 5-9' waves. Got caught in a rip and had 10 minutes of pure hell trying not to die. Incredible waves though. One guy rode a massive one for what seemed like 10 minutes and 2 miles.
