damn. And I always think of that road as a fun drive. Never really considered it all that dangerous, but I guess what a difference a lot of rain makes.

its not dangerous.  And yes it is a fun drive.  Second guy fell asleep on a long commute, other one was an 18 year old female on her way to meet friends...   Draw your own conclusions.

I take my dog to a park along that creek about a mile downstream from there. From the parking lot to the park is about a half mile. The last few days I've been wondering if I'll see her stuck in some debris. Tomorrow they are doing one last huge search effort I believe.

  I went by there yesterday in my long way from Placerville via Half Moon Bay to Santa Cruz to get around the closure (bank robber) of Hwy 17, and saw the car and a news crew way off the road, maybe 20 yards of flat but bumpy grass area - if it went in where the car wound up, it must have been going real fast.
   That is a pretty country road, but you have to pay attention, especially on some of the sharper turns.
