California DFW requires recreational Crabbers to permanently attach their GO-ID# to their crab floats.
After picking up another new trap and float, I was in the garage marking my new float, when I glanced over at my older floats and noticed that my GO-ID# on my 2017 license was different than that on my 2016. After a few calls to DFW, it appears that when my wife purchased my license as a Christmas gift for me, the clerk entered the info manually and made a minor error. With this minor error, the system assigned me a new
GO-ID#. Somehow, the system discovered this error and combined the two accounts with the new #. Fortunately this error was found and resolved before I was checked.
So, if you received your license from someone who didn't have an old license to scan, it might be worth the time to double check your #'s from 2016 and 2017.
See ya soon,
;0)

 Hojo and Fishcomb,
As I stated above, my wife purchased my license as a gift for me during Christmas. She really feels that she is getting me something I actually use, so I'm not going to dissapoint her. If this was not the case, I would have deffinatley purchased a lifetime by now.
Anyways, just posted so those who do get their license as a gift are sure to double check.
