So, if you win the participation raffle for the WS tarpon 130X and are not there we will get your yak to you (last year Matanaska won the participation raffle and wasn''t there and the year before that Sean White won it and wasn't there and we got their kayaks to them).

If you are getting a Big Fish Award or Piscean Plaque (1st place) or Amadeo print (2nd and 3rd places) and are not there we will get your plaques/prints/prizes to you.

If you are not in the top three and are not there though you will lose your turn to go up and pick something from the prize table...hope that makes sense?

Do you have a buddy who is going that can pick up your BigFish award for your monster Mackinaw?

Also, just to clarify, the top three in both AOTY and DOTY are guaranteed prizes per the rules so even if they are not there they will get their prizes (and Piscean/Amadeo/BigFish trophies).

Hi All,

As Big Break is flooded, and is anticipated to be flooded this coming Saturday, the AOTY committee has decided to change our venue to LAKE CHABOT Regional Park, in Castro Valley. 

Everything else will stay the same as for timing of event.

Park Rules:
Parking is $5.
Trailered vehicles are $4 extra.
No power boats allowed.  Kayaks are $2 each for launching.
There is a watercraft inspection - $4
Fishing Fee is $5.
Dog Fee is $2.
No smoking allowed in the park.
Drinking of Beer & Wine are fine. 
Allowed to cook in the designated picnic area.

Please bring some tables and ez ups just in case.  Should be fine weather wise and there are picnic tables but we could use a few extra.

Marv/Shitty Chicken will cook his pig starting around 6am and could use a couple of hands.  I'll be there as well.  I will be fishing in the kayak, and will update my PRE AOTY fishing thread shortly. Unfortunately, donuts will no longer be sponsored but I'll still bring a couple dozen from my local donut shop.

Jim, I'm pretty sure Chris aka Clayman was not going to make it after his move to Oregon.  At least that's what he told me the last time I chatted with him.  However, if Ryan aka Live2Fish makes it down, he might be able to deliver Matt his prizes?
