Been a crazy couple days on the coast.  Got power back last night after 30 plus hours without it just to lose it again a few minutes ago.

While everything was dark lighting struck on our property and shook everything like an earthquake/bomb exploded along with the brightest flash ever.

Our pet rabbit let out a scream like nothing I have ever heard but it's to dangerous to step outside and check on it or start the generator.  About now the thought of an automatic start generator sounds good.

My dog will not get off my lap and wants me to comfort him and he's supposed to be comforting me.

We have had two fences knocked down by trees and one just blew over.  I think the total tree down count has been 5 in the last couple days.

I can't imagine what I will find tomorrow but hopefully things don't get worse.

At least we have Internet for the moment.  So I can watch the storm on Doppler.  So much fun.

Looking forward to a couple of dry days.

Yeah my wife says when she was a kid they would lose power here for up to 3 weeks.

PG&E has been doing a lot better fixing these outages.  The longer times are when a line is down between Willits and Ft Bragg and they need a helicopter to run new line.

Sorry that is happening. It's never good to see your animals scared or to fear to go outside.

Crazy. My buddy has been lucky to have power during the flood at snug harbor. Sac river is peaking tomorrow. He had 3ft of water on his property yesterday and had to tow his neighbors car up the levee when the water rose up yesterday. Low tide this week ( -0.1 to -0.2 ) looked like a normal king tide.

The sun came out for a bit and there is no rain at the moment.  Can't find any new damage and the animals are all good.

Time for some clean up.

Yeah I have seen some flooding in lower areas.  Thankfully we are higher up so instead of flooding we have lots of trees down and problems that come from that.

Hopefully not couch surfin' tonight.
