I want one, I want to use it in the salt with my iPhone safely in the dry bag.  They run anywhere from $15 to $eleventy bajillion.  Anyone have any luck with these while fishing?  Comfort is more important than durability because I can always replace them when they corrode/wear out.

I was looking at these:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015IEW1AY?ref_=ams_ad_dp_asin_1

Amazon #1 best seller and only $25.

There's a bunch more on amazon in the $30-$35 range but I have no experience with them and no basis for comparison.

Appreciate any and all recs.  Thanks.

i use the LG tone ones and they work very well.  I use them while fishing too, but not usually in the salt.

I use a mini Bluetooth  speaker I picked up at costco ( can shoot you a brand and pic if interested tomorrow but it's at the storage unit on the yak right now)  it's waterproof and floats I have had other guys paddle up thinking i have a car stereo wired in it sounds good, although the op on a phone call have a hard time hearing you if it gets wet but mines mostly for tunes.

Thanks guys.  I looked at the LG at the verizon store.  It was $75.  I don't know if its worth 3x the cost, especially if I'm going to abuse it in the salt.

I plan to use it mostly for taking and making phone calls.  Every time I have to take a call with the phone out I worry that I will drop it in the drink.  Which I've done 3 times since I started using cell phones in the early 2000s.  Some days I take a lot of calls when I'm at my offshore office.  Now that I've switched carriers and will have reception at the cove I'll be able to fish there 2-3x as often, which is a lot more opportunities for my phone dropping in the drink if I don't take care of that.

I usually buy the cheap ones for the salt. My last set was Senbowe. If they get ruined I replace them no problem.

I use the lg tones for cycling and they work well in the rain as far as cost of you look on amazon you can usually find some from 20 (refurbished) to about 40. Mine generally lasted about 2-3 years with gym everyday and cycling when i didnt drive

every LG tone i've purchased has been $30 or less.  definitely would not pay $75.

i've never had problems with mine falling off. it sometimes will get stuck in my jacket somewhere though.  reception is fine, i play music through it when i'm fishing solo.  I essentially wear mine constantly with just one bud in. takes phone calls fine, decent reception sometimes, occasionally people will say it sounds a little weak so i have to reposition it.

I haven't tried any of the other brands but imagine they probably work fine. they're not complicated machines, just a bluetooth receiver/speaker in a case with earbuds coming out of it.  just go for it and if it sucks return it to amazon as defective.

I just ordered the $25 one listed in my OP. Looks like I was overthinking it because of showroom sticker prices at the VERIZON store and no model targeted toward salt water dwellers.

Thanks all.
