You just never know.  My wife refuses to get in the ocean thus having 100 percent chance of not being a shark's meal or chew toy.  I do think driving to a fishing spot can be dangerous there are way more people driving than there are fishing the oceans.  You could be walking down the street or sitting in your house and still be hit by a car.   So statistics about car accidents or lighting strikes just do not have anything to do with shark attacks.

Occasionally there is a demo or  group buy and there is usually a better price at that time.

Thanks Bushy...fer raining on my BH parade.  It's not just BH, it has to be everything within 10 miles of Ano Nuevo. It's a tough call, because no matter what, the ocean is not our "front yard," and we are extending ourselves into treacherous territory when go to play there, but then there is the whole matter of choosing one's times and places wisely....

In the last 10 years, there's been at least 8 kayak fishermen attacked by great white sharks between Vandenberg and Pescadero. Those are just the cases I can think of from the top of my head, but I bet there were a few more that I don't know about.

As crazy as it seems, there are actually two recorded reports of GWS attacks near the cannery in Alameda in the late 1800's and early 1900's.

Actually they kind of do. If you are putting yourself in danger of an immediate shark attack (diving) odds are you won't get hit by a car.  :smt044
