I just saw the video...... Awesome Sean!!!

Mark... as far as I'm concerned, landing and releasing an oversized dino is a much more impressive feat than catching one within the slot limit.  :worship

The only difference is that you don't get to eat your trophy.

Mark... I watched the video again.  It looked like I spooked your fish and caused it to buck when I glided in close to take your photo.:smt011 ....Sorry.
I'm sure glad you had excellent balance and everything turned out okay.  :smt001

ChuckE- I think it was Mark touching the hook that made his fish light up...no worries.

Glad you guys are enjoying it, they are fun to make.

BTW-if anybody is willing, it would help the vids get seen if you give it a rating at youtube. Thanks!

Great footage Sean and great catch Mark.

Side note: TiVo just partnered up with OneTrueMedia to allow users to upload their own video's and allow others (TiVo subscribers) to get a "Season Pass" to them.  It would be pretty cool to kind of have your own "Channel".

Hojoman,Yes , its similar to the one in Erics sturgeon fishing tutorial.I put on some 3M rubber grip tape leftover from some rodbuilding projects.I used 1"sch.40 pvc and  heated the end to form around the line tensioner. The grip tape was spiral wound then finished shrink tube on the ends.

Sorry about that Sean, I forget that not everyone works at TiVo.

In very basic terms what it means is that you can upload videos to OneTrueMedia's web site (http://www.onetruemedia.com/).  The Videos will be made available to TiVo subscribers via TiVoCast who have their TiVo connected through a broadband connection.  Those TiVo subscribers can "subscribe" to your channel...anytime you put up a new video it will be downloaded onto their TiVo and show up on their play list...allowing them to view it anytime they'd like.  Kind of like subscribing to a blog, but blogs are sooo last year.  :smt003

Here is a link that talks about it, I haven't read the article so I hope they don't have anything bad to say... http://www.d-silence.com/story.php?headline_id=23799&comment=1

I wasn't part of this project and I've never actually tried it out myself...just thought I'd share the bit of information I've gotten about the new feature.
