Hello,

My name is Michael. I was looking for more info on kayak fishing and found this forum and decided to join. There seems to be a wealth of knowledge on here and an awesome community on this forum. I have been fortunate to live near the ocean in my life and recently started getting into fishing. I don't have a kayak yet, but plan to get one. It looks like a great way to get out there and have a lot of fun. Looking forward to learning a lot from you all. good luck on the water.

Bienvenidos!

Take your time, do your homework, test paddle/peddle before you purchase.

Don't regret your first yak purchase.

+1, do your homework, save yourself some money from multiple buys/sells.   I recommend a pedal kayak instead of paddle (pricey, but you won't regret it).

Thanks for all the advice. I've been watching youtube etc, and hearing from you guys, it seems to be recommended to get down and try some before any decisions. My neighbor actually has 4 yaks, 2 small hobies with pedals, and a 2 person big hobie, and some other one. I'll see if hes into taking me out for a test run. Definitely a lot to research before I make a decision.  I'll be browsing the kayak tab for info on all the brands etc.
