Very interested!  What time are you planning on launching?
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

I'm very interested also, I'm pretty new to the fishing game and only been in my new PA 14 once so far and I'm not sure if I should get more experience in lakes and ponds before hitting the big blue. I have all the gear recommended in the newbie ocean sticky. The little voice in the back of my head says I should hold off but I'm Jonesing to catch some ocean fish

Bioman - Sounds good.  I too am in EG.  I'm still going if the wx holds and will leave at probably 0430 (that's a.m.)  I've never put two kayaks on the roof of my suv.  I only have crossbars and lay mine flat and upside down.  I guess we could stack the kayaks on top of each other for transport.  What kind of kayak do you have?  And can it be transported upside down?

That was my first time crabbing in two years. Missed all of last year.    Don't think we could have picked a colder morning for it.  I had ice in my kayak  from the rains.    Turned out pretty  nice most of the time till that fan kicked on.
I had some luck. 5 Dungies and one Commie..  Huge claws,, they were huge, so huge,,, tasty too  :smt002

Met  rnrgeek,,, ( Mike ? )  with 6, last time we spoke.

Then there was that A-hole in a 30 -40' power boat deliberately was speeding around all the kayakers in an attempt to swamp us...  not just passing through, but spinning dougnuts,, multiple  passes through throwing up a 4' wake.      Did anyone get  of copy of the name on that boat?

If a boat was being reckless like that, did you get on 16 and describe the boat and ask them to stop with the CG listening?

Tried hailing CG...  HMB harbor patrol answered the call.       I stopped by the harbormaster office after I got back to inquire, but office was locked.    Hopefully he was addressing the issue with the boater  responsible.

You should know how to self rescue and feel confident about it before putting your life and possibly others at risk.

Remember safety first.

Glad to hear you scored Jim. Sorry you had to deal with that douche bag on the boat.
