You've gotta have straps and you get a lot of peace of mind from a lock. Locking down the kayak has saved me a ton of unloading and putting the kayak away in the garage. I think these look good, they free you up from constant vigilance and paranoia.

Harbor Freight sells a  Driveway Motion sensor for under 20 dollars...   You can put the sensor inside the kayak,,, keep the alarm in your hotel , or take it into the dentist office   :smt002 ...

Anybody tries to move the kayak, the sensor tips over  triggering the alarm.
Battery powered?  If the range is sufficient, then that sounds like a good idea, especially if it has a silent mode.... That's when the harpoon comes out[emoji84]

I bought a SUP this fall, and since there is no scupper hole in it, I bought these straps - I got the longer ones with the yellow ends that I see from the site you cited sell for 109 - I got them from Covewater Paddle Sports in SC for 90, I believe it was.

Not sure where you're seeing $109? The yellow ones (13') are listed at $90 and with 20% off, that's about $72. Seems like a rockin good deal to me.

I'm gonna post up a list of those who are "in" on the OP. Please let me know if I've got it wrong or you want to get in on this.

The price you list on Amazon is full retail. The link posted earlier is Kanulocks website and all of the prices shown there are in Australian dollars. Retail on Kanulocks in US $$ is 8'=69.95, 11'=79.95, 13'=89.95, and 18'=99.95.

Ruben hit us up to see if we would help out with a group buy and we're happy to do it for those interested. This is just one alternative for securing your kayaks or boards.
