I pick one up too. Woke up this morning to go to work and check my email and had a email from Ack. Check it and they had the Bomber Gear Oneida Paddle Suit for $150. Add it to the cart but decided to do a little research on it and now it's sold out.  :smt013

I have wanted to start ocean fishing instead of only bass fishing. Would this suit be enough for the ocean?

At a minimum, yes. My farmer john was a combo 5/3 (5mm in some areas). You can always layer up for warmth, but you will have a wet butt every time though. If money is not an issue, go straight to a dry suit. People eventually upgrade to them.

it should be fine. i would recommend some sort of splash gear on top to prevent you from getting wet though.  its more of protection if you fall in.

I use a 3/4 mm surfers wet suit up here in the ocean, keep in mind I done ocean fish in the winter but I'm sure the weather is a little milder down there.

I have one of these.

Works well, I just add a light layer paddle jacket to keep the spray off and it's plently warm in the fall IMO.

I saw ACK also has a "semi-dry suit" on sale for around $150 from $600 list, but only in XS and S sizes. I do not fit that description.
