WANTED a used Cobra kayak either a Fish-n-Dive or a Marauder.Prefer to have a mango, lime or yellow color.Evaluation of condition/age and number of hatches will be the ultimate determining factor on my price but I'm not really looking to spend $900-$1000 for a Fish n Dive or Marauder .My price range is more between $550-700 Fish n Dive/Marauder  .   Any help would be appreciated

Abdiver - you may want to get hold of Half Moon Bay Kayak Company (650) 773.6101 - talk to Doug or Chris. They sometimes sell their some of the rentals in their fleet. And they do carry Cobra Kayaks...tell 'em Joel from NCKA sent ya  :smt002

Good luck - hope you find what your looking for!

I'm thinking of selling my Fishndive for a Marauder. But I'll probably do that within a month. I have to wait for the fishfinder to come back from Garmin though.

I can get you a new boat in that range if you went with a cosmetic blem...messed up graphic somewhere on the boat.  I also have a FND in stock.

Sean, I am looking at the Maurader for this season. I'll talk to you tomorrow about this blem program and how that works? Frank

Frank:

I don't usually sell blems, but if someone is on a tight budget they can be a good option. Here's what I sent to  abdiver:

With blems I will need to call and check on availability and colors.  They are new.  I will only order cosmetic blems, which usually means one or two of the graphics is imperfect.  They can be made into any hatch configuration, just like a regular boat.  What are you wanting as far as hatches and rod holders?  You can expect to save around 150-250 off regular price depending on the level of blem.

Abdiver:

Slightly higher than what you are looking to pay, but I found this on Craigslist this morning.

I have an outfitted FnD that "might" still be for sale tomorrow. Rhinobar with Humminbird & Scotty rod holder. 2 flush mount rod holders, large rectangle hatch and 8 inch hatch, flush mount Ritchey compass, handles installed, seat, paddle holders, rod lash points. Great condition. I've added a few of the items on the list since this Pic was taken. $650 but it's down here near Morro Bay/Port San Luis.

Also your about 4 1/2 hours away from me. Thanks for the reply though. Keep them coming guys

Just mount a base for a dive flag on the stern.

I do that and it helps a ton - especially anchoring in swells far off the coast in Hawaii.  It's easy to get disoriented and looking in the wrong direction for your yak... but the flag helps a lot.  My primary kayak there is yum-yum yellow, but the 1ft dive flag is waaay more visible than 15ft of yellow plastic.

FUZZ good suggestion. I do use a flag on my boat right now but with the Northern Coast certain times of the year the fog is so thick you can barely see your hand a foot in front of you. So having a 12 +foot bright object and a flag is much easier to see. The gray and white colors have a tendency to blend with the fog. Also they are hard to see with the glare off the water.Just a personal preference, since I do a lot of free diving for ab's and spearfishing. I don't like to waste energy looking for my boat.

The lime green FND is the one I posted a couple weeks ago.  I was for some reason, most likely my ineptitude, unable post to the pictures.  So I posted them on craigslist. As stated before all equipment is brand new.
