Anyone interested in hitting this Friday?

I was thinking about launching from the Montezuma Slough Bridge/ Belden's Landing around 9am to fish the outgoing tide.  Supposedly, the last part of the outgo is the best time.

Chuck... I'm tentatively in.  I need to firm it up with work tomorrow.

If you look at the tide, it's an unusually long outgoing tide, so the current shouldn't peak as sharply as a steeper tide.  In my mind, this probably means a longer bite window since the sturgeon tend to go on the feed after the peak current kicks back a ways.  (that's my optimistic logic anyway).

At any rate, I'll plan to be there as early as I can to fish the outgo.  Will probably bring the heavier gear given the liklihood of oversized fish in that area.

Hey Guys,

Would love to join you.  I've been meaning to explore these delta areas...  I'll have to call in sick on Friday, which technically won't be a lie (if I don't get over this cold).  I tell you, you never appreciate how good your health is (was) until you have a couple of babies.  They're like little virus factories!

Anyway, are there any bait shops around that area (Suisun City)?  Parking right there at the bridge?  Also, typically how much anchor line are you letting out in the slough?  I'm toting around way too much line and am going to shorten it.  I'm thinking 30-40 feet max?????

You Bums!!!!  :smt013 I'll already be @ work starting tomarrow, don't get off till Sat morn.. Unless...I get violently ill from bad firehouse cooking :smt012...Eh...That won't work either...I'm cooking...Sturgeon from Montezuma that is!!!!!!!.......

BAIT.....If your coming down from Santa Rosa HWY 29, there are plenty of bait shops just as you get towards the southern part of beautiful downtown Vallejo...."Minnies" on the Left side is cool.

Also, where you turn Right onto grizzly island road, Catycorner from there is " Rockies " bait shop, in the strip mall behind Mc Donalds on the West Side. Never been in there, saw it @ night.

Don't be afraid to do a little paddling 1st; approx 1/4 mile 45/50' hole...Chucke knows where, but if I was going, 2; I would still do the trek approx 1 1/2 miles north of the bridge, this pic marks the spot where the farm water pours in the slough...Fish approx 50 to 75 yrds out from there, seen fish caught here...Lots of PB's

But then again, we have 2 hooked and one landed where you are talking....Good Luck........Danglin
