Looking to fish for stripers in the delta tomorrow. Haven't fished it in years. Looking for suggestions where to launch kayaks to be close to a good area to fish with the wife. No long paddles or strong currents. I know how just not where to try. Any info would be appreciated. Thanx

I saw some pics of some nice fish to 22lbs that came out of the P River trolling swim baits, yesterday and today. Just north of Cloudy bend.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

Try Whiskey Slough by Turner Cut marina. You can launch from the marina and fish around the bridge and Empire Cut. That area should be productive around November.

I fish that all the time.  Lots of dinks. No keepers.
Got keepers at Liberty island sunday.

Fished there 2 days in a row last week. Caught a lot of shakers both days with a few legal size. Biggest was 19 inches. I also caught 3 tiny (like 12 inch) halibut.

Really a halibut? Must mean we need rain bad. There were a ton of starry flounder in the napa river not too long ago but no halibut.

That area is a halibut nursery year round.

You could try 8mile....launch at paradise point or kings island....or tracy....and launch at tracy oasis...stripers still seem to be small this time of year....
