Allright Janice!  We're both in the same place, NCKA fish-wise.  I just got my first, as well.  Maybe we'll catch our second-s together!   The lake looks beautiful, too.  Looking forward to fishing there!

Thanks, guys, and especially mickfish! I learned SO much from mickfish (thank you! thank you! thank you!) about my new gear and, although I didn't catch many fish, I had good opportunities to practice casting my new baitcasting gear, anchoring in the Russian River to fish, tying knots (still have to try that uni knot  ), and the like. Now that I finally caught a fish in my newer fishing kayak, I guess I can officially change my NCKA avatar! Geez, this sport is fun!
