Janice got her first NCKA fish today at Lake Sonoma Landlocked Steelie . May it be the first of many.

Allright Janice!  We're both in the same place, NCKA fish-wise.  I just got my first, as well.  Maybe we'll catch our second-s together!   The lake looks beautiful, too.  Looking forward to fishing there!

Thanks, guys, and especially mickfish! I learned SO much from mickfish (thank you! thank you! thank you!) about my new gear and, although I didn't catch many fish, I had good opportunities to practice casting my new baitcasting gear, anchoring in the Russian River to fish, tying knots (still have to try that uni knot  :smt002), and the like. Now that I finally caught a fish in my newer fishing kayak, I guess I can officially change my NCKA avatar! Geez, this sport is fun!

Way to go, Janice. Those LL steelies aren't the easiest fish to get to bite, either!
