I just figured this was worth a bump.

I've got no skin in the game but this book is a gotta have if you're into California North Coast Saltwater food gathering which most of us are. Besides being full of info, Kirk's style comes thru on almost every page, fun to read.

So I'm just suggesting you get yourself a copy you'll be glad you did,

And just in case you missed it, it's already been discussed here in Big Jim's thread http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=74981.msg854084#msg854084

I purchased a copy but did not have it with me when up in Mendocino a month back where Kirk was doing a reading. Picked up another copy at the book store there where the reading was held.

Kirk autographed my copy...you will understand the inscription if you read the book :smt002

Yep, understood, O2B.

I read it cover to cover and keep going back for snippets. I will be buying some more copies for x-mas gifts.

Great book!!
excellent contributions from some of NCKAs finest. There are some great recipes and techniques in here plus a great writing style by the author. I makes me want to spend a week just exploring the nooks and crannies of the coast from shore let alone a kayak. I feel like this will really help people to explore and appreciate aspects of the coast possibly taken for granted.

If I wasn't short on a little Bay Area water I would probably give the leopard shark cerviche a go but I may be lacking authentic ingredients. Would the water inside my kayak hull since July suffice?

This book has earned a permanent spot on the coffee table.!
