ISO Lowrance Elite 5 power connector

Mine is acting up so I guess I need new one.

You might want to skip troubleshooting part below...
I have two kayaks, wired for Lowrance FF, Elite 5. In Kayak#1 everything works.
In Kayak #2 recently I stopped getting power. After troubleshooting and cleaning connection I could get power fairly reliably ost of the time - until I move cable just next to connector: then power is gone. By moving it again just a little I can eventually get power again - till next time..
I tried to eliminate possibility of failure in the cable, and after all troubleshooting I'm fairly confident it's inside of connector.

I could probably sell one since my FF heads were stolen, but I think it has kind of a short lead.  Is that ok?  Have you tried cutting off a foot or two first to see if the corrosion issue might be in the wire closer to battery side?  I don't see any risk with that if you're sure its shot anyways and were gonna toss the cable.

I'm fairly confident it's connector, it will loose power when I jiggle very close to connector with cable not moving (and I've just jiggled for half an hour Definitely not battery side of wire, that is far-far away.

I could probably do it for like 10 bucks.  But figuring out the transit/delivery side will be a ???.  Its not that short, maybe about a foot shorter than normal.  I have to get into my boat to figure it out.  just send me a PM.

I'd also try some dielectric grease to see if some sort of magic can happen.

I'm guessing this is the one with the blue plugs? Is it possible an issue in the females side of the plugconnection. I had an issue once with corrosion in the female pin hole. The male side is easy to see if everything is clear the female side is tougher. I used a oxy acetelyne tip cleaner to clean out the corroded pinhole, and then a mild coating of di electrical grease . Just a thought to check before you toss it. You can probably get a tip cleaner at Home Depot or tractor supply, amazon or any welding supply store

Thanks, I'll look at tip cleaner - it definitely required cleaning, but after I poked it real nice it works now. Till I start jiggling connector/cord

Yeah it may help. The tip cleaner is a bunch almost wire files. A side note. Some are made where about the end 1/4 of the wire is smooth. If so cut of the smooth end with some wire cutters so the coarse wire gets right to the bottom. Also use a smaller size than the hole so it doesn't just pack all the crud to the bottom but pulls some out in the grooves . If you really want to go al out a jewelers drill set is even better . It's a drill index from  about 1/16" - down to super tiny. Robably hard to find and spends though
