Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

That sucks.

Make sure you file a police report. Many locations have online reporting as an option.  Serial numbers or other identifying info can help if located out of area or if found during a traffic stop.

Tough luck,I always get up extra early to load my vehicle
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

So sorry to hear, BMB. My hope is that it gets recovered and a karmic  (sp?) wave engulfs the perpetrators!

thanks. I still got plenty of gear and will go shopping today to replace what i have - just kinda sad since those were some of my favorite rods and reels and i had them set up just the way i like them.  Also, I'm kind of a killer shopper so I got all the stuff at a great price over time, but replacing them for the same price i originally paid will be real difficult.

luckily i have a backup fishfinder so i can still fish - and they didn't get my transducers or anything.
